So...I loved that scene from the “Friday night lights” DVD (see the screencaptures I made) for the hair & the profile, & was willing to make a very big painting with it in only one colour, but I needed a cool posture to match it.
Again, I used a picture of Travis Fimmel (see below) from his Calvin Klein campaign, & I adapted it to Garrett, who is taller. Not obsessed at all by shirtless postures, but my sister had challenged me with making nude paintings, which I am totally unwilling to do, as I much prefer suggested things to raw nudity, but I can do with shirtless ones, obviously ! ;) And this one has become one of my favourite paintings.
You will probably recognise the pants from that pic from his modeling years I also painted (desert painting n° 1 in the painting gallery). I just love these pants...I have the same ones ! :D
As for the background, I used another picture of mine from Alaska.

Update september 12th, 2006 :
So, I finally took the time to find out from which site I had downloaded that picture, & here it is. :) Travis Fimmel - the online photo gallery, a fansite dedicated to Travis.
There is another one that I used to browse a lot but the gallery is off for now. Yet, it was pretty huge & you can access this 2nd site, Travis Fimmel.com, here
.
Either site, enjoy !
So, I finally decide to show the full painting I made in january 2006 and...errrr hm... yeah, totally shirtless, this time around & yes, I definitely need to give explanations, here, again ! See below...;)
